Goals for 2026:
Expand the offering of free self-defense lessons in the districts of The Hague.
Involve volunteer support for the foundation.
Upcoming events:
· WSDH major event The Hague Sports Dinner - June 10, 2026
· OpenJeHart and Mantelkring annual Summer 3-Day, on July 23, 24 and 25.
Originally founded in 2016, as a private initiative by sensei Willem de Bles (3rd dan in Japanese jiu jitsu, and also an expert in the Chinese kung fu style pak mee pai, taught by Kong Mien Ho). The initiative officially became a foundation by the name of 'De Getrainde Vuisten' in 2024. His pupils John van Maanen, Alex Eerhart, and Ruud Groot became fellow board members.As De Getrainde Vuisten we put our focus on community building, seniors, individuals working their way out of social isolation, people in vulnerable circumstances, and marginalized groups. In the fall of 2025 sensei De Bles decided to fully focus on pak mee pai and other things in life, and left the board. We thank him for everything he taught us.
